Tap to Pop a Group
No swapping: tap a connected cluster of one color, and bigger clusters pay better.

01The core loop
Action → feedback → next choice- 01Spot a color cluster
- 02Tap to clear it
- 03Pieces above fall
- 04Look for bigger clusters
↻Feedback changes the situation — the next round starts from there.
Walk through one round
A simplified design example. Situations and numbers illustrate the mechanic, not exact rules from a reference game.
- T1
Turn 1 · The situation
10 moves left: a 4-blue cluster sits next to a 3-blue cluster, separated by 2 yellows.
- T2
Turn 2 · The player chooses
The player pops the 2 yellows so the blues merge.
- T3
Turn 3 · The feedback
A 7-blue cluster forms, and tapping it creates a bomb.
- T4
Turn 4 · The next decision
The bomb sits beside the target blockers, ready to clear a big area next move.
How it plays
Tapping two or more connected same-color pieces clears them; hitting size thresholds spawns rockets or bombs. Pieces fall after clearing and may join into bigger clusters, so players weigh quick taps against waiting for merges.
What the player weighs
- Pop small groups vs wait for merges: clearing a small one may join two big ones.
- Advance directly vs build boosters: big clusters give boosters but cost moves.
02Start small
Scope is an editorial estimate for the minimum prototype, not the reference game or a production schedule.
03One mechanic, different implementations
Toon Blast
Tapping connected cubes clears them; five or more creates a rocket, and larger groups yield bombs or color boosters across varied goals.
Pet Rescue Saga
Players tap groups of two or more blocks to clear them, aiming to drop the pets down to the bottom of the board.
The difference worth noticing
Toon Blast centers on generating boosters; Pet Rescue focuses on steering pets downward through clears.
Case notes are Yoroll editorial summaries; rules may change between versions.
04What could you combine?
Hide resources beneath the board and let players spend a move on a scan overlay to see which clusters cover treasure before tapping.

Space is the only resource: fill a line to reclaim it, or get crowded out.
