No.286Love and Deepspace01The core loop
Action → feedback → next choice- 01Pick audio before bed
- 02Set length or scene
- 03Listen with the screen off
- 04He responds the next day
↻Feedback changes the situation — the next round starts from there.
Walk through one round
A simplified design example. Situations and numbers illustrate the mechanic, not exact rules from a reference game.
- T1
Turn 1 · The situation
At 1 a.m. the player starts his rainy-night reading track with a thirty-minute timer.
- T2
Turn 2 · The player chooses
The player turns the screen off and sets the phone down.
- T3
Turn 3 · The feedback
Audio fades out; in the morning a text asks how far she got last night.
- T4
Turn 4 · The next decision
The next night she tries another scene.
How it plays
Long audio pieces feature close-mic lines, stories and ambient sound. After choosing a scene, the player barely touches the phone. It extends play into bedtime, a slot usually owned by other apps, and retention comes from habit rather than quests.
What the player weighs
- Offer it free to build habit, or sell it as card content.
- Connect audio to the plot, or keep it pure mood listenable at any time.
02Start small
Scope is an editorial estimate for the minimum prototype, not the reference game or a production schedule.
03One mechanic, different implementations

Love and Deepspace
Version 4.0 added a sleep-with-me companion mode, alongside immersive voiced stories.

Light and Night
The home offers ambient companion audio, and voiced listening dates can rewind to switch between branching tracks.
The difference worth noticing
Love and Deepspace makes sleep a dedicated mode; Light and Night spreads audio across the home, dates and other entry points.
Case notes are Yoroll editorial summaries; rules may change between versions.
04What could you combine?
End an episode with bedtime audio: the screen goes dark while he keeps talking, and the next episode picks up from those words.
