No.288Light and Night01The core loop
Action → feedback → next choice- 01Log mood and schedule
- 02Set reminders or anniversaries
- 03He reminds you on time
- 04Review your record
↻Feedback changes the situation — the next round starts from there.
Walk through one round
A simplified design example. Situations and numbers illustrate the mechanic, not exact rules from a reference game.
- T1
Turn 1 · The situation
She marks a Friday interview on the calendar and selects a little nervous.
- T2
Turn 2 · The player chooses
She turns on a reminder for 8 a.m.
- T3
Turn 3 · The feedback
On Friday he sends a voice note about the interview and mentions no quests.
- T4
Turn 4 · The next decision
She adds her next big date too.
How it plays
An in-game calendar logs mood, spending, reminders and periods; on the day he reminds you by voice or message, with dedicated care lines during your period. It wraps a utility app in his voice, so the more you log, the better he seems to know you and the harder it is to leave.
What the player weighs
- Collect more life data for deeper care, or less sensitive data for lower privacy risk.
- Remind proactively to show care, or require opt-in to avoid intrusion.
02Start small
Scope is an editorial estimate for the minimum prototype, not the reference game or a production schedule.
03One mechanic, different implementations

Light and Night
A life log tracks periods, reminders, spending and mood on a calendar; filling in your moods earns a personal response from him.

Tears of Themis
Players can enter their birthday on their profile card (added in 1.6) and receive celebration content on the day.
The difference worth noticing
Light and Night turns the calendar into a real life tool; Tears of Themis records only your birthday and concentrates its care on that day.
Case notes are Yoroll editorial summaries; rules may change between versions.
04What could you combine?
When a player saves a real date, he sends a pre-filmed message that day, turning the anniversary into a promise.
