Going Through His Old Phone
Nobody tells you about his past; you only have an old phone and a few records he never fully deleted.

No.304Light and Night01The core loop
Action → feedback → next choice- 01Get his old device
- 02Browse album and notes
- 03Piece together the past
- 04See him differently now
↻Feedback changes the situation — the next round starts from there.
Walk through one round
A simplified design example. Situations and numbers illustrate the mechanic, not exact rules from a reference game.
- T1
Turn 1 · The situation
While cleaning you find his high-school phone, and it still turns on.
- T2
Turn 2 · The player chooses
The player opens the album first, then the notes.
- T3
Turn 3 · The feedback
The album has a photo from the same date each year, and the notes for that date read: still did not say it.
- T4
Turn 4 · The next decision
She wants to know what that date is and goes to ask him.
How it plays
The player gets a simulated old phone and freely opens its album, notes, profile page and mini-games, styled for that era. No character explains anything; information sits inside the interface, and players reach conclusions by browsing and connecting details. The nostalgic interface is itself a source of feeling and fun.
What the player weighs
- Allow free browsing for discovery, or unlock in order so key information is not missed.
- Recreate real era products for resonance, or use fictional interfaces to avoid trademark risk.
02Start small
Scope is an editorial estimate for the minimum prototype, not the reference game or a production schedule.
03One mechanic, different implementations

Light and Night
A 2026 millennium-themed event has you and him going through an old phone together.

Tears of Themis
An in-game OS stores case files and personnel records, presenting character background as archives.
The difference worth noticing
Light and Night makes clues into a playable old phone; Tears of Themis is closer to static files.
Case notes are Yoroll editorial summaries; rules may change between versions.
04What could you combine?
The lead's phone becomes a clue entry: a photo he deleted on screen can be recovered from the trash before the next episode.
