No.305Light and Night01The core loop
Action → feedback → next choice- 01Choose a room or person
- 02Eavesdrop or record
- 03Organize clues and memories
- 04Name the mole or culprit
↻Feedback changes the situation — the next round starts from there.
Walk through one round
A simplified design example. Situations and numbers illustrate the mechanic, not exact rules from a reference game.
- T1
Turn 1 · The situation
An accident strikes a closed villa; there is time for one more room tonight, and both he and the doctor look suspicious.
- T2
Turn 2 · The player chooses
She eavesdrops on the doctor and skips his room.
- T3
Turn 3 · The feedback
In the recording the doctor says he was never in the hallway, contradicting his own story.
- T4
Turn 4 · The next decision
She cannot decide whether to play the recording to him directly.
How it plays
An event places your love interests in a closed mystery. The player chooses rooms and people, gaining eavesdropped talk, recordings, memory flashbacks and thinking prompts, then submits a conclusion. He is a suspect too, so trusting him becomes a judgment to make.
What the player weighs
- Fix the culprit for a strong twist, or randomize for replay at the cost of logic.
- Let a love interest really be guilty for tension, or protect his image from fan backlash.
02Start small
Scope is an editorial estimate for the minimum prototype, not the reference game or a production schedule.
03One mechanic, different implementations

Light and Night
A 2023 life-or-death carnival event had players find the truth by eavesdropping on whispers and piecing memories together.

Tears of Themis
Limited detective events have you collect clues and deduce the culprit, extending the game’s core legal-mystery loop.
The difference worth noticing
Light and Night builds an event around eavesdropping and pieced-together memories; Tears of Themis attaches whodunits to the deduction it already does well.
Case notes are Yoroll editorial summaries; rules may change between versions.
04What could you combine?
Each episode unlocks a recording he does not know about; choosing whether to confront him sets his attitude in the next episode.

Romance Inside the Crisis
The case or instance is the stage, and only a crisis shows whether he can be trusted.
